Asda launches festive hot drink range, bringing the 'hot chocolate station' trend home for a fraction of the price

As the nation leans into cosy season, festive hot drinks are stealing the spotlight. Pinterest searches for “Hot Chocolate Stations” soared by 1275% last autumn*, showing that the ritual of creating and customising at-home drinks is set to be a big trend once again.

Asda is embracing the moment with the launch of three limited-edition festive flavours, available in-store and online from Monday 6th October:

Gingerbread Flavour Hot Chocolate (£2.98 RRP, 19p per portion) – a nostalgic taste of Christmas in a mug
Black Forest Flavour Hot Chocolate (£2.98 RRP, 19p per portion) – a decadent twist on the seasonal classic
Maple Nut Flavour Latte (£2.48 RRP, 31p per portion) – smooth, warming, and coffee-shop worthy

“Seasonal hot drinks have become a real ritual at this time of year, and our customers love recreating that experience at home,” said Jennie Large - Buying Manager of Hot Beverages at Asda. “Our new range gives shoppers the indulgence of coffee shop favourites at supermarket prices – with flavours already popular among celebrity fans like Sabrina Carpenter and Harry Styles.”

With high street festive drinks now averaging at nearly £5.00 a cup*, Asda offers shoppers a seasonal alternative at a fraction of the price – the Gingerbread Hot Chocolate and Black Forest Hot Chocolate work out at just 19p* per portion – that’s 2500% cheaper than some high street chains.

Alongside the drinks, Asda is offering everything you need to create your own hot chocolate stations at home - from Mini Star Marshmallows (RRP £1.25) and Squirty Cream (RRP £1.88), to Peppermint Candy Canes (RRP 98p.)
