Eyes on the pies! Asda launches first-to-market mince pies with a 'chilling' twist for Christmas 2025

Asda has announced the launch of its first-to-market mince pies with an exciting twist for Christmas 2025. It is the first retailer to introduce chilled mince pies as part of its festive chilled desserts range.

The NEW Asda Whipped Cream Mince Pies (2 pack, £3.12) are set to steal the limelight this festive period as shoppers look to tuck into iconic, seasonal treats. The twist? The mince pies made from golden flaky puff pastry, filled with rich mincemeat of sultanas, currants, glace cherries and cranberries, then layered with lightly aerated British cream and hand-finished with sweet snow.

The new pies tap into the ‘Indulgent-Hybrids’ and ‘More Is More’; over-the-top indulgence trends, uncovered by the Asda 2024/2025 Trend Book. Set to be enjoyed as an after-dinner dessert rather than a snack in the run up to Christmas, they bring comfort and familiarity, but with a touch of luxury this Christmas.

Making their debut in stores, the chilled mince pies join Asda’s full, 15-strong range of mince pies, which are already available to shop in stores and online.

NEW for 2025 are the Exceptional By Asda All Butter Caramel Florentine Mince Pies (£2.98). These delicious all butter shortcrust pastry pies are filled with brandy mincemeat and luxurious caramel, topped with fresh almond Florentine.

Joining Asda’s other, award-winning mince pies, the range includes the classic, Good Housekeeping Christmas 2025 Taste Approved Exceptional By Asda Mince Pies (£2.84), which customers too describe as “absolutely delicious”*. Filled with a mincemeat filling with brandy, ruby port, cognac and Valencian orange oil, they’re topped with a light, sweet dusting.

Free From and Vegan shoppers need no fear, as the range caters to all. From Asda Free From Frangipane Mince Pies (£2.24), with gluten and milk free pastry filled with brandy mincemeat topped with frangipane and flaked almonds, to the Asda OMV! Mince Pies (£1.98) perfect for vegans, these have been crowned as the ‘runner up’ in the Good Food Christmas Supermarket Awards 2025.
