It’s a belter! Asda launches Rewards Plus to help Scots save more
Asda today launched Rewards Plus in Scotland - a new feature in the Asda Rewards app - that gives customers the chance to earn up to £16 a month in their Cashpot, as well as an additional fuel savings voucher.
Scottish customers who scan their Asda Rewards app will ‘level up’ their rewards throughout the month. Rewards Plus benefits are unlocked as customers reach four spending levels, starting at £25 and ending at £300.
Customers can unlock rewards across multiple shops or in a single transaction, in-store and on Asda.com, with new benefits available each time a spending threshold is reached.
In October, customers in Scotland can unlock the following rewards:
-
Spend £25 - £1 added to their Cashpot
-
Spend £75 - 5p off every litre of fuel on one fill-up
-
Spend £150 - A mission to earn £5 in their Cashpot when they spend £15 on George clothing or home products
-
Spend £300 - 10% back in their Cashpot on their next shop (max £10 Reward)
Chris Chalmers, Customer Data and Loyalty Director at Asda, said: “Rewards Plus is a new way for customers to get more value from their everyday shopping. Whether that's fuel savings, money-off or Cashpot rewards, it unlocks extra value throughout the month on the shopping they're already doing at Asda. We look forward to seeing customers in Scotland get their hands on Rewards Plus and make the most of everything it has to offer.”
Rewards Plus sits alongside the missions, coupons and games already available in the Asda Rewards app, and works across Asda stores, Asda.com, Asda Express and George clothing and homeware purchases in-store.
Rewards Plus comes as household budgets remain under pressure - Asda’s latest Income Tracker revealed that household spending power growth slowed to 3.4% last month, its weakest level since March.
The launch is part of Asda's ongoing focus on helping customers get more for their money, combining its everyday low prices with additional opportunities to earn through the Rewards app.
This builds on Asda's broader commitment to value, with independent comparisons by Which? and The Grocer consistently recognising it as the UK's lowest-priced full-range supermarket.
