Asda has the best Valentine’s Day meal deal of the UK supermarkets in 2026, according to what people are saying on news and social media

Asda’s Valentine’s meal deal – £12 for a starter, main, two sides, dessert and wine – is being described on news and social media as “phenomenal value”, “bargain of the century” and the UK's “best supermarket meal deal”.

The Metro newspaper has put the Valentine’s meal deals of eight UK supermarkets to the test and rated Asda’s as 5/5, declaring it “Best Valentine’s Day meal deal for 2026”.

The review says “Asda has sure smashed it again” and describes the Valentine’s Day Dine in Deal as “truly phenomenal value”. It’s half the price of M&S’s Valentine’s meal deal, rated 3/5 by the Metro, and the review praises the “top-notch” quality of the Asda Bistro Range options including an “absolutely delicious” Runny Scotch Eggs starter, “delightful” Marry Me Chicken, and Triple Cook Chips that were “the best chips I’ve ever purchased from a supermarket”.

Shoppers are taking to social media to rave about the Asda Valentine’s Day Dine in Deal too – including popular British TikTok content creators like Nannabea (two million followers) who’s posted videos about two trips to Asda to shop for it, saying: “It's just the bargain of the century.”

Her followers are agreeing; some typical comments on her TikToks:

  • "blimey that’s a fantastic deal, well done Asda and thanks Nana for sharing 💕"

  • "That’s a really good price! And in fairness you could make two meals from it"

  • "Wow! That’s an incredible deal. You couldn’t make the lasagna for that price let alone all the other pieces. 👍"

In the first of her TikToks Nannabea described just how much you get as part of the deal, saying she kept one of the sides (cauliflower cheese) for a second night, and that the wine alone was worth more than half the price of the whole meal: "This is one of my favorite wines, and it's £6.60 to buy from Asda. All of that was £12. £12? ... Now that is a bargain. Cheers, Asda.”

And she had a message for a few people posting comments saying she must be getting paid by Asda to be so positive: "For all those trolls that are addicted to reporting you for ads when they're not ads, I've got the receipt, so report away, my lovely."
