Asda launches new Exceptional Easter Egg in response to stand-out demand for the pistachio flavour trend
The Exceptional Pistachio and Himalayan Salt White Chocolate Egg is available for just £10 in stores and online
Asda is cracking into Easter 2026 with the launch of its latest Easter Egg collection, introducing a standout new flavour inspired by one of the nation’s most in-demand taste trends, alongside the return of several much-loved favourites.
As shoppers begin preparing for Easter celebrations, Asda is expanding its premium Exceptional by Asda range, and taking centre stage for Easter 2026 is the Exceptional Pistachio and Himalayan Salt White Chocolate Egg, Priced at just £10, the 200g egg is crafted with smooth Belgian white chocolate, infused with creamy pistachio paste and finished with pieces of roasted pistachio and a delicate pinch of Himalayan pink salt, creating a perfectly balanced sweet-and-salty flavour profile.
Pistachio has fast become one of the flavours shoppers can’t get enough of, moving from a viral social media sensation to a much-loved choice across everything from savoury treats to ice cream and chocolate. And with searches for ‘Easter Eggs’ already hitting 51,000 on Asda.com in January, the new flavour is set to be a hit with Asda customers.

The new pistachio launch is joined by a selection of returning favourites within the Exceptional by Asda range. These include the Exceptional Dark Chocolate & Ginger Egg, combining rich Belgian dark chocolate with Valencia orange oil, sweet orange pieces, crystallised ginger and crunchy cocoa nibs, available for £10.
Also making a welcome return is last year’s Good Housekeeping Institute award-winner, the Exceptional Milk Chocolate Caramel, Pretzel and Honeycomb Egg. Featuring extra-thick salted caramel-flavoured Belgian chocolate generously loaded with honeycomb, caramel and pretzel pieces, it is once again available for £10.
Asda is also continuing to expand its Exceptional Free From range, ensuring more shoppers can enjoy an egg-stra special Easter. New for 2026 is the Free From Exceptional Dark Belgian Chocolate & Raspberry Egg, a gluten-, milk- and egg-free
dark chocolate egg with raspberry flavour and freeze-dried raspberry pieces, priced at £9.97.
Joining it is the Free From Exceptional Honeycomb Sea Salt Egg, a milk-, egg- and gluten-free honey and chocolate-flavoured hollow egg with Anglesey Sea Salt and honeycomb pieces, also priced at £9.97.
Rounding off the range are returning OMV favourites, including the OMV Chocolate Orange & Caramel Crisp Easter Egg, a chocolate orange egg with sweet and crispy caramel flakes, priced at £4.90, as well as the OMV Cherry Bakewell Easter Egg, a chocolate egg filled with crunchy biscuit and sweet cherry pieces, priced at £4.90
